Whether you dropped out in Grade 10 or couldn’t write finals due to life circumstances, one thing’s true: you don’t have to stay stuck. The APEX Adult Matric is designed to give you a full do-over, no judgment, no age limit. Just a real shot at finally securing your matric certificate.
The Rise of Adult Matric:
More South Africans than ever are returning to rewrite. Why? Because they’re tired of missing opportunities. Without matric, it’s nearly impossible to get into university, secure formal employment, or even qualify for certain learnerships. The system might’ve failed you once, but you don’t have to fail yourself twice.
How It Works:
Adult Matric, also known as the Senior Certificate (Amended), is available to anyone 21 and older. It’s a full matric qualification issued by Umalusi and written through the Department of Basic Education.
At APEX, we guide you through:
Subject selection (based on your goals and interests)
Structured lesson plans aligned with CAPS
Weekly classes, tutor support, and mock exams
Exam registration and study resources
Real Stories, Real Wins:
Katlego (29) didn’t finish school. In 2023, he enrolled with APEX and passed all six subjects on her first try. Now she’s studying mechanical engineering.
Why 2025 Is Your Year:
The world of work is shifting fast, digital skills and formal qualifications are in demand
NSFAS and bursaries are increasingly accessible to adult learners
The stigma around rewriting matric as an adult? Fading fast.
Action Steps:
✔ Register early
✔ Choose subjects aligned with your career path
✔ Commit to a study schedule that respects your adult responsibilities
Your past doesn’t define your potential. Rewriting matric might feel intimidating, but it’s also empowering. You’re not behind — you’re just getting started.
